Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
1. Pre-qualification of Bidder: Awards of bids for construction services with an engineering estimate in excess of $100,000 will only be made to Bidders who have pre-qualified with Pinellas County for Road, Street, Storm Sewer type construction, or those that are pre-qualified by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in Flexible Paving, Grading, and Sidewalk prequalification, in the amount that equals or exceeds their bid. Only those bids from Bidders that meet the pre-qualification requirements from either Pinellas County or FDOT prior to a bid opening will be considered. Work consists of road reconstruction from a two-lane rural typical section to a two-lane urban typical section with curb and gutter, storm drainage, sidewalks, and bike lanes. Signalized intersection improvements at the five-legged intersection at Haines Road, 62nd Avenue North and 131st Street North includes fixed mast arms, pedestrian signals and detection. Utility work consists of replacement, relocation or adjustment of the County's Sanitary Sewer lines. Additionally, there is a Joint Project Agreement (JPA) with the City of St. Petersburg as part of this bid, as referenced in Appendix 4 Special Notices, as well as in the plans and specifications provided by the City. The JPA consists of utility replacement, relocation or adjustment of the City's water lines.
