Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The purpose of this Invitation to Negotiate (the "ITN") is to evaluate and select a vendor for ABESS Lift Station Fiber Build that can provide the items contained within Appendix B - Response Workbook and provide the best value to Jacksonville Electric Authority (the "Work" or "Services"). "Best Value" means the highest overall value to Jacksonville Electric Authority with regards to pricing, quality, design, and workmanship. 1. All underground construction will include conduit(s) as designed, a locate wire (#12 minimum solid), fiber route cott markers, and fiber optic vaults, as indicated on the construction drawings. 2. The Contractor will perform post construction fiber integrity testing. The Contractor will inform Jacksonville Electric Authority the fiber plant is ready for pre splicing inspection. Jacksonville Electric Authority will inspect the completed fiber plant construction within ten working days after the Contractor informs Jacksonville Electric Authority that it is ready for inspection. Upon acceptance by Jacksonville Electric Authority of the fiber plant construction the Contractor will begin fiber splicing, post splicing testing and documentation. 3. The Jacksonville Electric Authority Contractor shall identify and tag all exposed project related fiber cables within the project area with Jacksonville Electric Authority provided tags. The equipment list and details are on Appendix B Response Workbook. Bidder shall submit pricing that includes inside shipping for all items to: Brooke Garland at: garljb@jea.com. Pricing submitted shall include any other associated costs. No additional fees shall apply. Jacksonville Electric Authority owns, operates and manages the electric system established by the City of Jacksonville, Florida in 1895. In June 1997, Jacksonville Electric Authority also assumed operation of the water and sewer system previously managed by the City. Jacksonville Electric Authority is located in Jacksonville, Florida, where we proudly serve an estimated 470,000 electric, 351,000 water and 274,000 sewer customers. Jacksonville Electric Authority is Florida's largest community owned utility and the eighth largest municipal in the United States. All Questions must be submitted in writing to the Jacksonville Electric Authority Buyer listed below at least three (3) business days prior to the opening date. Questions received within three (3) business days prior to the opening date will not be answered.
