Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a medical facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,300,000-square-foot, 14-story above grade, 1,500-space medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Construction of a new acute care tower with 216 beds, 16 operating rooms, and an expanded emergency department and an intensive care with 48 beds. Method of delivery will be Design, Build, Finance, and Maintain ("DBFM"). TIMELINE: Construction is underway. Substantial completion anticipated in fall 2030. *DBFM contract value is $7.4 billion (30-year maintenance agreement).
