To be considered a bidder of record in order to receive any bid addendums that may be issued, bidders shall provide the bidders contact information to the Community Development Department by phone or email to Mark D. Mathes, (772)646-6315 or cdd@cityoffellsmere.org. Bidders who purchase the bid set shall automatically be considered a bidder or record. All bids shall be submitted on the Bid Proposal forms provided in the Specifications. Bid security will be required in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid and must accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder as follows: a cashier's check, a certified check or a surety bond payable to the City of Fellsmere. Deposits will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. If the Contract is awarded to a Bidder, that Bidder shall enter into a Contract with the City and furnish the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificates of Insurance or forfeit the Bid Bond or security as liquidated damages. A contract must be executed within ten (10) days following the award of the successful bidder. The City reserves the right to delay the awarding of the Contract for up to sixty (60) days after the bid opening, to waive informalities in any bid, or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part with or without cause/or to accept the bid that, in its judgment, will serve the best interests of the City.
