As of 02/12/2019 Start date will be late spring if the contract is awarded. As of 02/11/2019 The project is expected to be awarded on Feb. 20, 2019. For this project, bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN.com. To access the electronic bid form, download the project documents and click the online bidding button at the top of the advertisement. Prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through Quest CDN for bids to be accepted. The work includes furnishing of all materials and equipment and performance of the following work, per the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents (PS & CD). The project is located on S. 43rd Street between W. Grange Avenue and W. Ramsey Avenue. A brief description of the Bid work for the above contract includes: Improvements to S. 43rd Street, including approximately 2,600 lineal feet of roadway resurfacing. Major work items and approximate quantities for which bids are requested include: 6,040 square yards of pulverization, 1,220 square yards of milling, 2,100 cubic yards of excavation common, 2,675 tons HMA pavement, 1,475 tons of base aggregate dense, 700 lineal feet of storm sewer pipe and associated inlets and manholes, 95 square yards of concrete driveway, 2,600 lineal feet of electrical conduit, including bored sections and 4,500 square yards of restoration. Greenfield project 1908. As a part of their Bids, Bidders shall submit a full and complete list of: 1) all of the proposed Subcontractors, and 2) the class of work which each will perform. The selected Contractor shall not alter this list without the written consent of the City. The PS & CD require that the selected Contractor and Subcontractor(s) furnish a Certificate of Insurance.Bidders shall submit Bids online through Quest CDN.com. Bidders should pay attention to the requirements for Bid signatures, as set forth in Bid Security. Bidders may not with draw their Bids within the 90-day period after the date of the Bid Opening. The City will only consider Bids from Bidders who accompany them with a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Greenfield, in the amount equal to 5 percent of the Bid. This requirement serves to guarantee that, if the City accepts the Bid, the selected Contractor will execute and deliver the proper Contract Agreement and Bonds within 15 calendar days after the Notice of Award by the City. Failure to return these documents with in this prescribed time will result in forfeiture, to the City of Greenfield, of the selected Contractor's Bid Bond, as liquidated damages.
