The abatement and demolition scope of work of this project consists of but is not limited to: Removal, transport and of any and all items and or materials falling under the State of California Department of Toxic Substance Control (DTSC). Universal Hazardous Waste Rule (UWR), materials potentially containing polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), and other potential hazardous building materials are to be removed prior to activities that could disturb these materials in Building K and the Auxiliary Gym area on the San Jose City College (SJCC) Campus in San Jose, California as outlined in the plans and specifications and Demolition of entire extents of the existing buildings, structures, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and site improvements and utility services and utility service points of disconnect, fiber, IT terminations, Grading and other site demolition to accommodate the removal of existing structures, building and utility systems and disconnects and stub outs Hydrants, utility Disconnects and stub outs as noted in the plans and specifications. License Requirement: A or B license Project Duration: 60 days from Notice to Proceed to substantial completion The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The costs associated with providing these bonds should be included in the total amount of the bid as submitted by the Contractor. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not lessthan ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal. Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District.
