Cedar Lake improvements are essential facets of the master plan improvements outlined in 2015. The 2014 park master plan indicated impovements to the park are necessary to modernize facilities and increase the level of service. Phase I improvements will include roadway and shelter improvements. Further improvements will include utility installation, new trails, updates to picnic shelters and a restroom. The trail system will tie into the Cedar Creek Trail as well as loop around the lake to the southside of the park. Funding is dependent on renewal of Park Sales Tax in 2024 The project is included in the city's 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
