Project Location: Batesville, Arkansas For furnishing all tools, materials and labor, and performing the necessary work for construction of the 1.5 MG Eagle Mountain Elevated Water Storage Tank - Modifications and Repainting. The work generally consists of: Repainting of the 1.5 million-gallon elevated water storage tank constructed in 1993; repainting the exterior, the wet interior and the dry interior of the elevated storage tank; installing a hydraulic mixing system in the wet interior; and all appurtenances and other items as detailed and set forth in the Contract Documents and Drawings for a complete installation. The contractor shall have the option of bidding one of two starting dates or both starting dates. Option A shall consist of the scope of work starting on or about April 15, 2019. Option B shall consist of the scope of work starting on or about September 15, 2019. General Conditions within 210 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. All contractors intending on bidding SHALL register as a plan holder by notifying Amy Smith, Receptionist, via e-mail at asmith@olsson.com. When registering as a plan holder, contractors shall submit primary contact information including name of contractor, primary contact, phone number, fax number, and physical address. Failure to register as a plan holder may result in your bid being rejected. The contractors shall make such inspection and studies of the site of the work as to familiarize themselves with all conditions to be encountered. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable form of bid guaranty in the amount equal to at least five percent of the whole bid, and such bid bond or cashier's check shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. All bids shall be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope specifying that it is a bid for construction of the 1.5 MG Eagle Mountain Elevated Water Storage Tank - Modifications and Repainting, the time for opening of bids, and the name and current contractor's license number of the bidder. All bidders must be licensed under the terms of the Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors, A. C. A. 17-25-1-1, et seq. All bidders must also comply with The Rules and Regulations of the Contractors Licensing and Bond Law, Arkansas Administrative Rules 224-25-1, et seq. Attention is called to the fact that the minimum prevailing wage rates for each craft or type of worker and the prevailing wage rate for overtime work as determined by the Arkansas Department of Labor shall be paid. Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 22-9-203, the Owner encourages all qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises to bid on and receive contracts for goods, services and construction. The Owner also encourages all general contractors to subcontract portions of their contract to qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises. The City of Batesville reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the proposal deemed to be in the best interests of the Commission. The Commission further reserves the right to withhold the awarding of the contract for a period not to exceed 60 days after the receipt of bids.
