Site work and renovation of a transportation facility in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The work involves: 1. Replacement of two hydraulic elevators; Elevator 1 from street level and exposed to weather, and Elevator 2 on the paid side of the fare line serving the platforms with intermediary stops for MTA station ancillary spaces. Replacement includes new controllers, hydraulic pumps, and other improvements, in the common machine room for the two elevators. Work includes replacement of the existing hoistway sump pump for Elevator 1. 2. Electrical upgrades to the power feeds (single phase and three phase) for the new replacement elevators. Includes new copper feeds. 3. Installation of a concrete base with a gutter system to convey water around the elevator street level entrance and replacement of the concrete sidewalk adjoining the entrance to Elevator 1. 4. Structural repairs to address concrete issues within hoistway and imminent spalling due to water damage from street level water pooling around elevator entrance and into the hoistway. 5. New architectural store front system to be installed in & around both existing level entrance head-houses. 6. New Exterior lighting systems around elevator and escalator/stairway head-house. 7. Electrical Panel replacement for elevator power feeds and for exterior surface lighting. Questions directed to this office must be received no later than February 14, 2019 at the 2:00 PM. Questions should be submitted on company letterhead. No interpretations other than written shall be binding on the Administration. Each bid exceeding $100,000 must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid Price. Bid, payment, and performance security may be in the form of: (1) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State; (2) a bond executed by an individual surety that meets certain criteria; (3) another form of security required by State or federal law; or (4) another form of security satisfactory to the unit awarding the contract. Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of the Contract Price will be required by the awardee. Upon receiving notification of contract award, the Contractor shall deliver the bond to the MTA no later than the time the Contractor executes the contract.
