Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Richmond, Virginia. Design plans call for the addition of a 110,000-square-foot parking garage; for the renovation of a 43,000-square-foot museum; and for site work for a museum.
As of September 25, 2023, a design team has been selected. A construction timeline has not been identified. This is strictly for DESIGN SERVICES for an ARCHITECT, NOT ALL TRADES. It is still in the early design phases and construction anticipated 2023-2024. VMFA is requesting RFP's for the new Expansion project which includes a new 110,000 sf addition, 43,000 sf renovation to the existing facility and a separate new 60,000 sf Annex building. This project is based on the space needs of the museum as identified in the attached Space Study. THIS IS A VIRTUAL pre-proposal conference will be held via Web EX.
