For providing the required elevator equipment and installation for the Association for the Blind Elevator - 2015 Year CDBG CD-155503. Please note that outside of this phase and scope of work, it will be the selected General Contractor's and his respective sub-contractor's responsibility to coordinate all work with the elevator manufacturer and installer including but not limited to the ladder recess, sump pit fire service, phone. power, rough openings, equipment access door, etc., and must be reviewed with all parties prior to construction. Bids must be submitted on prescribed forms, complete with instructions provided herewith. Bid Proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Security, as a Certified or Cashier's Check, or original Corporate Surety Bid Bond with original Power of Attorney, in the amount of 10% of the Bid Proposal, made in favor of the County of Beaver, Pennsylvania. Facsimiles will not be accepted. MBE, WBE and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to apply. Standard contract provisions of the Department of HUD Act of 1968 as amended and US Department of Labor for CDBG apply to this project, including Federal Prevailing Wage Rates, Civil Rights, EEO, Federal Public Works, Affirmative Action, Section 3 Requirements, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, EO 1 1246, 11625 together with all Standard Provisions of CDBG Programs. The County of Beaver, Pennsylvania reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, and to award Contracts in its best interest.
