Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a civil project in Spaulding, Oklahoma. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Lake Expansion and Intake Tower Improvements Project. Construction of a new earthen / concrete dam and appurtenances as authorized by Permit No. SWT-0-14595 issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District Regulatory Office. Work consisting of placement of fill material with conventional earthmoving equipment and heavy construction techniques to construct a new dam for the expansion of the existing Holdenville Lake by forming a reservoir on an adjacent tributary to the stream on which the existing Holdenville lake was created; and connecting the reservoirs by excavation of an equalization channel to form an interconnected lake. The new compacted fill and riprap dam structure is approximately 2,100 feet in length with maximum fill height of approximately 56 feet. Top of dam crown width is 26 feet and base width is 470 feet at the deepest fill utilizing an earth fill volume of approximately 740,000 cubic yards constructed with a foundation cutoff trench, chimney drain, and a foundation trench drain. Approximately 575,000 cubic yards of unclassified excavation are associated with the auxiliary spillway, equalization channel, and dam foundation. On site borrow is anticipated from the new reservoir footprint area. The principal spillway conduit provides for a controlled release from the new water supply intake structure. The concrete water supply intake structure includes three slide gates for water supply to the new service pump installed on the intake structure and connected to the existing raw water pipeline by new 16-inch diameter discharge piping attached to the span bridge catwalk structure. The auxiliary spillway structure for overflow conditions of the interconnected reservoirs will be constructed as a concrete Labyrinth Weir with the new dam. The Labyrinth Weir will extend across 151 feet of chute width, is 9 feet tall, and will discharge waters to 2 roller compacted concrete (RCC) drop structures composed of approximately 27,700 cubic yards of RCC material. With constructed wetlands, the equalization channel will be excavated between the two reservoirs across a topographic saddle and existing County Road with a 20 foot bottom width, 3H:1V sidewalls, maximum depth approximately 43 feet, and length of approximately 2,720 feet. Raw Water Intake tower improvements include installation of appurtenances to the new concrete intake structure for conveyance of raw water. New installation of 100 HP Vertical Turbine Pump, approximately 280 feet of 16 inch diameter pipeline mounted to intake structure access bridge, and electrical controls and instrumentation. Location of project is approximately 3.4 miles southeast of Holdenville, Oklahoma on State Highway 48; primarily in Sections 28, 29, 32, and 33 of Township 7 North, Range 9 East. The approximate center of the proposed dam is located at North Latitude: 35.0413, West Longitude: 96.3725. Estimated Cost of Construction: $18,000,000. County Road E. 136.5 Relocation, Bridge Over Equalization Channel and Utility. Construction coordinated with the Lake Expansion Project to construct a Steel Arch bridge over the equalization channel on alignment for relocation of the existing County Road 136.5. The county road relocation is constructed of approximately 1,400 feet of compacted roadbed with 20 foot width of aggregate surfacing to replace the existing gravel road and convey vehicles across the Steel Arch bridge spanning the equalization channel excavation. The arch bridge is approximately 66 feet in length and 34 feet in width with Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) walls and wingwalls composed of modular blocks and tie-back reinforcement. Bridge foundation is composed of a reinforced concrete footing founded on H-Piles driven to competent rock below. Arch bridge is backfilled with drainable aggregate below the future water level and granular backfill to the roadway surface elevation. Project includes relocation of approximately 1,500 feet of 4 inch, PVC, potable waterline adjacent to the alignment of County Road 136.5 relocation. Project location is in Section 33, Township 7 North, Range 9 East across the equalization channel for the interconnected lakes. Estimated Cost of Construction: $1,300,000.
