Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Toronto, Ontario. Working plans call for the construction of a 400,000-square-foot, 20-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Development of the second phase of the University of Toronto Partnerships in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PIE) Complex at the St. George Campus. Scope includes construction of a 20-storey tower with three (3) mechanical floors immediately east of phase one, located on the current site of the Banting Building. The existing Zion Church at 88 College just to the east would be preserved. The tower that will be home to office and laboratories for researchers in regenerative medicine, genetics and precision medicine. This project includes demolition of the Banting building. TIMELINE: Working drawings are complete. Staff and students are able to move into the first phase building, followed separately. Demolition of the Banting Building on site is underway. The owner is in the process of selecting a development partner for this phase. The agreements are expected to be finalized late 2024. Tender and construction timing is anticipated in 2025 pending completion of the first tower and selection of a development partner.
