Partnering with a design and build team, SaskWater would like to improve operational efficiency, optimize plant capacity and existing assets, improve water quality safety, and address current and future maintenance issues of an existing water treatment plant of Codette Lake Water Supply System in Melfort, SK. The design and build team should be able to provide solution to refurbishment of the original water treatment plant including upgrades to the building structure, retrofitting an inactive treatment process, including electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and controls as well as the installation of an auxiliary power without hampering operations and service reliability of the SaskWater facility. SaskWater is seeking resources with expertise in the design and construction of water treatment plants, retrofitting components and/or infrastructures of similar in nature. The scope of work for the proposed water treatment plant (WTP) upgrade works can be described as the re-design and/or retrofitting an existing redundant treatment train that includes flocculation and clarification tank, multimedia gravity filters along with all related appurtenances and installation works. Proposed upgrade works will also include all related civil, architectural, ancillary equipment, electrical and instrumentation and mechanical works including installation of owner-supplied back-up genset equipment.
