Site work and paving for a road / highway in Brookhaven, Georgia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project includes approximately 0.2 miles of complete street improvements along Ashford Dunwoody Road between Oglethorpe Drive and Windsor Parkway connecting to the project limits of city-funded project (MT-01) currently in the design and right-of-way acquisition phase. The awarded firm will be provided design information to coordinate the joining of the two projects and features of the corridor. Additionally, an evaluation of the approaches to the intersection 750 feet along Windsor Parkway and 500 ft north along Ashford Dunwoody Road are to identify the transportation improvement limits per the intersection control evaluation. The south side of Windsor Parkway connection is to be designed to accommodate a ten-foot trail and two to five-foot buffer as identified in the current Brookhaven Bicycle, Pedestrian, & Trail Plan from April 2016. Traffic data collection and turn lane analysis shall be performed to validate recommendations from the corridor study and determine appropriate lengths of lanes to access points south of Windsor Parkway. Project is included City of Brookhaven FY 2023 - 2027 Budget CIP, as of February 27, 2023 the project is in design and the project is expected to bid in October 2024. A firm construction schedule has not been established.
