The approximate extent and character of the work is generally described as follows: The 12-inch cast iron water main spray-in-place pipeline project in Ringgold, Georgia includes the closed circuit television inspection and diagnosis of 835 LF of 12" cast iron water main, the cleaning of 835 LF of 12" cast iron water main and the spray-in-place pipeline application of epoxy lining in 835 LF of 12" cast iron water main. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. Note: The Contractors Affidavit for Electronic Verification of Work Authorization Programs form (E-Verify) shall be executed and submitted as part of the bid package. Contractor's Bid will be considered non-responsive without conformance to E-Verify requirements The check or money order shall be made payable to Rindt-McDuff Associates, Inc. The Owner is not obligated to consider a Bidder's proposal, if Bidder is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received complete Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. The project has a maximum time for total completion which shall not exceed 30 consecutive calendar days from the starting date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the Contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Surety and insurance companies must be listed in the Federal Registry of Insurance Companies Circular 570, holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid Opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date. Each bid must be submitted in a Sealed Envelope, addressed to the Owner. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, 12-INCH CAST IRON WATER MAIN SPRAY-INPLACE PIPELINE PROJECT. If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the City Manager at the address previously given. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise.
