As of March 13, 2019 the project has been awarded to David Acton Building Corp. $71,000 for concrete and RAM Enterprises Inc.$142,800 for flooring. Start date will be on April 2019 and end date will be on end of May 2019. If bid exceeds $50,000.00, a cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Autauga County Board of Education in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder's proposal. On all contracts exceeding $50,000, Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders must be licensed by the Alabama Licensing Board for General Contractors as a prime contractor or a subcontractor. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding $50,000.00 must be licensed as a prime contractor under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975. All bidders must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. A. The existing turf flooring will be removed under a separate contract (by the athletic flooring contractor). B. Remove existing crushed stone sub floor and existing earth sub-grade to a depth of 8 inches below slab surface. C. Install new 4 inch porous fill, new vapor barrier, and new 4 inch concrete slab with joints as shown on drawings. Contractor shall complete the Work within 45 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
