The system's legal name is VIA Metropolitan Transit (VIA). VIA is a Political Subdivision of the State of Texas and governed by a Board of Trustees who is appointed by its County and Municipal Governments. VIA provides fixed route transit service, paratransit service for mobility-impaired customers, special event and park and ride service. Intotal, VIA's service area is approximately 1,200 square miles. Those requests may be faxed to (210) 362-2588 or emailed to david.covell@viainfo.net. The Contracting Officer will issue a response to those requests to all prospective bidders via email, and copies will be posted on VIA's internet site(via.mwdsbe.com). Bidders should contact the Contracting Officer if they believe a response is missing or lost. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that they have received all modifications and incorporated any changes in their proposals.
