This project consists of installing three variable message signs and structures, associated ITS equipment, and one concrete maintenance pad with guardrail in northern Douglas County. Electronic versions of the Plans obtained by any other means than as described may not be complete or accurate, and it is the Bidder's responsibility to obtain a complete set of the Project Plans and Specifications. Douglas County will not be held responsible for misinformation received from private plan rooms. All questions are due to Duane Cleere, P.E., PTOE, Project Manager by 12:00PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. The Project includes the following major items and approximate quantities: 559 square yards Concrete Pavement 3 Variable Message signs 488 linear feet Guardrail 3,075 linear feet Fiber Optic Cable Prior To submitting a Bid Proposal, Bidders shall have received prequalification status (active status) with the Colorado Department of Transportation to bid on individual projects of the size and kind of work as set forth herein. The Contract Time of 275 calendar days will be used to determine the Completion Date, once the Notice to Proceed is established This work includes restoration of the existing landscaping, including sod grass, top soil, and perennial landscaping, impacted or damaged during construction. The work shall also include restoration of irrigation sprinklers if impacted or damaged by any construction activities. Grass sod shall match the existing grass. The Contractor shall contact the Engineer a minimum of three (3) business days prior to disturbing the existing landscaping. The Contractor shall repair irrigation to the satisfaction of the respective metropolitan district, including the Highlands Ranch Metro Districts or the Stonegate Metro District.
