PIN 2EST01, Herkimer Co., Empire State Trail Improvement Project, Town of Schuyler, Town & Village of Frankfort This project establishes a 7.8 mile on-road segment of the Empire State Trail through the Village of Frankfort and the Towns of Frankfort and Schuyler in Herkimer County. At its western project limit, the Empire State Trail connects to an off-road segment of the trail at the bridge carrying Dyke Rd (County Route 37) over the New York State Thruway in the Town of Schuyler. From this point, the Trail proceeds south along Dyke Road and Dyke Road Spur to Southside Road in the Town of Frankfort. It continues through the Town and Village of Frankfort along Southside Road, West Main Street, East Main Street, and Acme Rd to the eastern project limit at the interchange with New York State Route 5S. Here, the on-road segment of the Empire State Trail connects with an off-road segment from the east. The four lane section of Acme Road will be restriped as a three lane section with shoulders to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists. Pavementrepairswill be made along the route to ensure an acceptable riding surface is provided for bicyclists and pedestrians. Empire State Trail signing and new pavement markings will delineate the trail within the project limits. Clearly identify the Company Name, Street Address, Federal Identification Number, Project Number and Project Description on the envelope. The same Federal Identification number must be used on the the envelope and the planholder list. A certified or cashier's check payable to the NYS Dept. of Transportation for the sum specified in the proposal or a bid bond, form CONR 391, representing 25% of the bid total, must accompany each bid. NYSDOT reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that all Amendments are incorporated into its bid. Amendments may have been issued prior to your placement on the Planholders list. NYS Finance Law restricts communication with NYSDOT on procurements and contact can only be made with designated persons. Contact with non-designated persons or other involved Agencies will be considered a serious matter and may result in disqualification. Project related technical questions or comments must be submitted through the Construction Contracting section of the NYSDOT Business Center on the NYSDOT website. Contract administration or procurement questions may be submitted either through the website or directed to Robert Kitchen, or the Assistant Director/Director of the Contract Management Bureau, (518) 457-2124. Bidders should be Advised that Award of these Contracts may be Contingent upon the Passage of A Budget Appropriation bill by the Legislature and Governor of the State of New York.
