As of August 22, 2019, construction is underway. A designer and contractor are identified. Phased construction/renovation is scheduled to be completed March 23, 2020. The following is for historical purposes: Craven County is inviting interested architectural design/consulting engineering firms, licensed in the State of North Carolina, to submit their qualifications for consideration to provide professional architectural/engineering/planning/renovation phase services for re-design of the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center as well as the renovation to mitigate the damage caused by future flooding at the current Convention Center. SCOPE OF SERVICES Craven County is requesting statements of qualifications to enter into a design contract for the renovation of the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center located in Craven County. The location of the facility is located at 203 South Front St, New Bern, NC. The consultant design team will perform architectural and supporting engineering tasks necessary to design, permit, procure renovation management at risk services, and administer renovation for the project.
