Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Orange Beach, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a 21,000-square-foot, one-story above grade laboratory facility; for site work for a educational facility; educational facility; and laboratory facility.
SCOPE OF WORK: The general scope of the work includes but is not limited to: This project will construct a new facility for Auburn Universitys Samuel Ginn College of Engineering to conduct research along the Gulf Coast. The primary functions of the building spaces will be to (a) facilitate analytical laboratory research, (b) serve as a base camp for fieldwork, and (c) provide presentation and meeting space for the researchers and other project and community partners. The 21,000 square foot building is organized into two wings, with the laboratory and research spaces housed in a single-story wing while the more public-facing program are in a two-story section. The building is laid out on the site to maximize frontage and views to the cove and Gulf while also taking advantage of existing open areas and minimize impacts to existing trees. This project is funded in whole or in part by RESTORE Act Funding and that any contract awarded will be subject to all applicable federal statutes, regulations, executive orders, OMB circulars, the Standard Terms and Conditions, Program-Specific Terms and Conditions, and any Special Award Conditions of this federal financial assistance award (Award), as applicable, in addition to the certifications and assurances required at the time of application. BIDS: Bids must be submitted on proposal forms or copies thereof furnished by the Architect. All RFIs must be submi.ed to Auburn University no later than May 01, 2025 @5PM.
