The work involves installation of approximately 685 LF of either 12-inch Fusible PVC or 14-inch HDPE across Oil Creek and 870 LF of either 16-inch Fusible PVC or 18-inch HDPE across the Allegheny River,and open-cut installation for two connections to the existing potable water system. Requirements for bid security, qualifications, and other requirements are in Instructions to Bidders.Contract Times for completion and provisions on liquidated damage sare indicated in the Agreement. The Work for the Oil Creek crossing is located in private property of Oil City Automotive along Relief Street, and in municipally-owned Justus Park near Veteran's Memorial Bridge. The Work for the Allegheny River crossing is located in privately-owned land within the Oil City Industrial Park off Colbert Avenue, and along City-Owned Pumphouse Road along the Allegheny River. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following major items: 1. Installation of underground bored waterline piping. 2. Site work, including grading and restoration. 3. Installation of approximately 490 linear feet of 12-inch under Oil Creek and 970 linear feet of 16-inch waterline under the Allegheny River with FPVC bored waterline, and installation of open-cut 12-inch PVC waterline to tie-in the Creek crossing into the existing water system on each Creek side as shown on the Drawings. 4. Installation of valves, fittings, blocking, and other appurtenances required to complete the waterline installation as shown and specified. 5. Installation and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation controls. 6. Miscellaneous concrete and masonry work. 7. Traffic control for work on Oil City streets. 8. Coordination with property owners and businesses affected by the Work
