Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project is located at Stone Park Boulevard from Hamilton Boulevard to Pierce Street, 5th Street from Pierce Street to Jennings Street, 11th Street from Jackson Street to Floyd Boulevard, and 14th Street from Jackson Street to Main Street. The project includes the construction of new curb and gutter, sidewalk ADA ramps, and new asphalt overlay. Thereafter, bids will be acted upon by the City Council at such time and place as may be fixed. Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, readvertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor. The Notice of Public Hearing will be published in the Sioux City Journal on February 16, 2019 and February 23, 2019. This project shall be completed within 60 working days, which is anticipated to be in October of 2019. Specifications for this project shall be the 2019 version of the Iowa Statewide Urban Standard Specifications for Public Improvements modified in accordance with the 2017 version of the City of Sioux City Supplement. Copies of said construction documents are available at the office of the City Clerk of Sioux City for examination by the public. Contractors intending to bid as the prime contractor must obtain a hard copy of the plans, specifications and form of contract from the Purchasing Division. Failure to obtain a hard copy may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected. Anticipated Award and Approve: March 25th, 2019 Project Completion Date: Within 60 working days, which is anticipated to be in October of 2019
