Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Manchester, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Department of Public Works intends to reconstruct approximately 1200 feet of South Beech Street from South Willow Street to Spring Garden Street. The work will include: Approximately 4000 square yards of reclaiming in place the existing roadway surface, including all necessary grading and reshaping of roadway structure; Removal of any disposal of railroad rail within South Beech Street; Repaving of road, approximately 1000 tons; Construction of approximately 2400 linear feet of asphalt sidewalk; Construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and tactile surfaces; Construction of paved sidewalk within old rail grade to provide connection existing South Manchester Rail Trail; Resetting of existing granite curb and installation of new granite curbing; Installation of new drainage structures, drain pipes and underdrain; Any and all related appurtenances and incidental construction needed to complete the project. All Contractors interested in bidding are required to submit a sealed prequalification package before the above noted deadline. Prequalification forms may be obtained at the Office of the Department of Public Works for five ($5.00) dollars or from online. Construction plans are currently under development and a formal advertisement for bids will be published in early to mid March 2019. All Contractor's intending to prequalify and bid on the project shall note that this work is being funded through a grant from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program. The program is subject to the requirements of Title 1 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. As such the successful bidder will need to comply with certain conditions pertaining to Davis Bacon Wage Rates, reporting, nondiscrimination, etc., in the fulfillment of the contract to be awarded. The successful bidder shall also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and codes in the performance of this contract. Local firms, minority and women owned businesses where appropriate, shall be given "maximum feasible opportunity" to participate in contracts and subcontracts resulting from this project.
