Site work and paving for a road / highway in College Station, Texas. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of October 2024, the project is in design, however on indefinite hold pending funding. A firm contractor bidding and construction schedule have not been established. A firm timeline for bidding and construction has not been established. The consultant shall design the extension of Bird Pond from Lakeway Blvd. to State Highway 6 The design includes 4 lane Minor Arterial roadway cross section with curb and gutter, bike / pedestrian facilities, storm sewer, electrical conduit crossings and street lights. The project will also include improvements to State Highway 6 feeder road to accommodate the new intersection. The consultant will also provide construction phase services, which may include preparing bid and contract documents, construction materials testing, and attendance of meetings. The City will acquire all the right of way and easements for the project. It is the Citys intent that the successful Firm will be involved for the full duration of the design development, preparation of construction and bidding documents, and construction administration phases of the project. The budget for this project is approximately $3,800,000.
