The purpose of the RFP is to provide Nassau County with proposals for engineering services in connection with the Phase 70 roadway widening and pavement improvements. These services may include, but are not limited to providing a study, surveying, planning, investigation/inspection, ADA compliance, drainage review, coordination with adjacent agencies and towns, utility locating, testing, engineering design, accident analysis, traffic loops, AutoCAD drafting, maintenance and protection of traffic plans, scheduling, design review and other design related tasks for Phase 70 Roadway Widening and Pavement Improvements to Westbury Avenue, Carle Place. All questions regarding this RFP should be submitted by email, prior to close of business on March 1, 2019, to Mr. Garry Desyr, at GDesyr@nassaucountyny.gov. The proposals must be signed by an individual who is authorized to bind the proposer to all commitments made in the proposal. The Firm shall submit five (5) printed copies and one (1) additional electronic copy of their technical proposal, (on a compact disk, in .pdf format), and one (1) written copy of their cost proposal in a separate, sealed envelope.. The cost proposals shall be submitted on the attached "Cost Proposal Sheets." The County is under no obligation to return proposals. The selected firm will be required to provide proof of general and professional liability insurance in the minimum amounts of $2,000,000 and $1,000,000 per occurrence, respectively. The successful Proposer will be required to comply with the requirements of Local Law No. 14-2002, "Participation by Minority Group Members and Women in Nassau County Contracts" and Local Law 2-2016, "Participation of Service-Disabled Veterans in County Contracts." All Proposers should review the provisions of Appendix EE (included as an attachment to the RFP) which outlines the requirements of Local Law 14-2002 and Title 82 of the Miscellaneous Laws of Nassau County which contains the requirements of Local Law 2-2016. Technical proposals shall include information regarding the Proposer's plan to comply with Local Law No. 14-2002 and Local Law 2-2016. As of May 17, 2019, The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
