Renovation of a mixed-use development in Laval, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade, one-story below grade stadium.
Major renovations to the sports centre of the Laval Youth Centre. The scope of the project includes the complete refurbishment of the sports centre swimming pool, bowling alley and service rooms spread over two levels (basement and ground floor). The exterior work will include renovations to the facades, windows and roofing and interior work will include upgrades to the building floors and walls, plumbing and electricity systems, improvement of the building security standards. TIMELINE: Working drawings are finalized. The owner has cancelled the tender for the general contractor issued under the number 2023-0477-AO in early 2024 for the project implementation because of the cost overruns and is seeking additional funding. Future of the project development is not determined. If/when a new tender for this project is issued, it will be followed in a new separate report. Coverage of this report has been discontinued.
