Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Puyallup, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; and road / highway.

The successful bidder will be responsible for installation of approximately 12,360 linear feet of gravity sewer pipe, 1,151 linear feet of sewer force main, 33 concrete manholes, and 5 corrosion resistant manholes and a valve vault. The work also includes installing and maintaining erosion control BMPs and necessary groundwater dewatering, compliance with the Stormwater General permit and Pierce County Right-of-Way permit, roadway excavation including removal and disposal of existing pavement and unwanted or excess materials encountered during execution of the project, coring an existing sanitary sewer manhole, traffic control, utility coordination, concrete curb ramp and sidewalk restoration, roadway restoration, and restoration of disturbed private property. The successful bidder will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing phased road closures as specified herein. The road closure for 160th Street E will require the Contractor to work six-12-hour workdays while the road is closed. Other road closures will require the Contractor to work a minimum of six-10-hour workdays during the road closure. If the Owner chooses to award the additive bid, the successful bidder will also be responsible for the installation of approximately 1,500 LF of traffic signal conduit and associated appurtenances Clarification Deadline: 12/10/2021 4:00 PM The Contract Time shall be two-hundred and ninety-four (294) calendar days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed." The award will be based on the lowest responsive bid for all described work received from a responsible bidder No Pre-Bid Conference will be held for this project Each bid shall be accompanied by a Proposal/Bid Bond or a Cashier's or Certified Check made payable to the order of Pierce County, equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount, as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders, Section A.2.1.12 of these Specifications Contractor shall pay the prevailing rate of wages to all workers, laborers, or mechanics employed in the performance of any part of the Work in accordance with RCW 39.12 and the rules and regulations of the Department of Labor and Industries. The schedule of prevailing wage rates based on the locality or localities of the Work, is determined by the Industrial Statistician of the Department of Labor and Industries. It is the Contractor's responsibility to verify the applicable prevailing wage rate Pierce County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids or to waive as an informality any irregularities in any bid or in the bidding. Engineers estimated cost for this project: $6,000,000-$8,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
