A timeline for award is not yet established.** The City of Greenville is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for demolition services, including abatement and disposal of hazardous materials, at the Bobby Pearse Community Center located at 904 Townes Street. In the event that progress payments are necessary the City will withhold ten percent (10%) retention from payment due the contractor until final acceptance of the project is issued by the City of Greenville. Any bid for which the offeror specifies a shorter acceptance period may be rejected. The City of Greenville reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to waive any informality or irregularity not affected by law; to evaluate, in its absolute discretion, the bids submitted; to award the contract according to the bid which best serves the interests of the City; or to not award the contract if the City determines that it is not in its best interest to do so.
