**Start date is to be determined. ** Merrimack Avenue Pump Station Upgrades for Town of Dracuts Wastewater Collection System. There will be no pre-bid conference. The Town is seeking proposals from qualified firms, here after referred to as the "Contractor", capable of performing upgrades to the Merrimack Avenue pump station presently in operation. The Merrimack Avenue pump station is the largest sewer pump station owned and operated by the Town. It is located on Route 110 (Merrimack Avenue), adjacent to Richardson Brook and the Merrimack River. This station is a wet pit/dry pit station with a precast wet well, dry pit and superstructure. This station has a design capacity of 1.7 million gallons per day and pumps wastewater to a gravity sewer manhole along Route 110. This station was constructed in 1998. A. Control System Install a temporary control panel to operate the station, while the existing control panel is removed and replaced; Remove existing control panel and install a new control panel to fully operate the Merrimack Avenue pump station; Remove and dispose of existing level floats in both wet well compartments; Install new ultrasonic level sensors in each compartment; Install one new high-high float in one compartment for emergency signaling; Install a telemetry system to communicate level and alarms.
