This project is partially funded with State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation - Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) funds. The Work consists of the approximate quantities: 22,140 CY Common Excavation 19,150 SY 8" Concrete Pavement 27,350 TONS Base Aggregate Dense/Select Crushed Material 8,390 LF Concrete Curb & Gutter 48,970 SF Concrete Sidewalk 5,450 LF Storm Sewer Main 4,860 LF Water Main 4,605 LF Sanitary Sewer Main 5,950 SY Restoration Bids will be received on a unit price basis. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, a certified check, or a bank cashier's check as bid security, in the sum of five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the City of Waupun as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within fifteen (15) days of the award of Contract. Should any bid be rejected, such bid security will be forthwith returned to the bidder, and should any bid be accepted, such bid bond or check will be returned upon the timely and proper execution and securing of the Contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute the Contract and Performance Bond, the amount of the bid bond or check shall be forfeited to the City of Waupun as liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening date. The letting of work described herein is subject to the provisions of Section 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The City of Waupun reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or accept the bid(s) which serves the best interest of the City.
