Renovation of a data center facility in Hanover, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 35,254-square-foot, two-story above grade data center facility.

As of November 15 2019, this project is bidding. The project consists of a renovation of the existing Hanover County Wickham building first floor office space into a new Hanover County Information Technology Data Center. The new Data Center will be approximately 1200 square feet. The Work requires demolition within the first floor office space. A new exterior generator and upgraded electrical equipment will be required. Re-roofing of a portion of the existing Wickham Building will also be required. Demolition includes the removal of existing office partitions, doors, ceilings, carpet flooring, portions of CMU walls, electrical equipment and wiring. During electrical work, the Data Center shall remain operational and the Contractor will be required to provide and operate a temporary generator. New construction includes cold formed steel framed gypsum board partitions, acoustical panel ceilings, antistatic VCT flooring, ductwork, re-roofing, and modifications to existing stormwater piping. The Contractor will provide electrical work to the new Information Technology Data Center, and all other Work indicated by the Contract Documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents or Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Architect in writing. To receive consideration, written requests for clarification shall reach the Architect at least five days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Any changes made to the written requirements of the Bid Documents shall be made by written Addendum only. The County reserves the right to waive Bid informalities, reject any and all Bids, request rebidding, or to award a contract as it deems will best serve its interest. Any bid in response to this solicitation shall be valid for sixty (60) days. At the end of the sixty (60) days the bid may be withdrawn at the written request of the bidder. If the bid is not withdrawn at that time it remains in effect until an award is made or the solicitation is canceled.
