Renovation of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

Solicitation No- 0418950-007-00 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the DESIGN BID BUILD Upgrade Interventional Radiology Rooms project at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC). The project includes upgrades to two existing Interventional Radiology rooms (IRs) to accept new equipment, this includes MEP and finishes, as well as relocations and enlargements of control rooms and equipment rooms. The remodeling and site preparations are for two new pieces of x-ray equipment in two IRs. One IR will receive a single plane piece of x-ray equipment and the other room will receive a bi-plane piece of equipment. Both pieces of equipment will be provided by Siemen and installed by Siemens. Site preparations for the new pieces of equipment will be provided and installed by the General Contractor. Modification to the electrical systems, HAVC systems, low voltage systems, plumbing systems and finishes shall be included in the project scope. Due to increased complexity and risk of procedures performed in these rooms, they will also be constructed according to clean procedure room standards with increased air exchanges. The solicitation will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 million. The period of performance is approximately 172 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to bailey.donato@va.gov. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
