Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Napa, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The 2017 storm events have caused a lateral movement of the slope and subsequent damage has affected 200 to 250 feet of paved roadway surface with varying amounts of horizontal and vertical displacement The proposed repair to the slide is approximately 200' long concrete grade beam wall supported with concrete CIDH (cast in place drilled hole) piles. The grade beam depth is 4'. The piles depth is approximately 31'. There are approximately 214 linear feet of roadway payment rehabilitation (grinding and re-surfacing) and 173 lineal feet of roadway payment re-construction (removing old asphalt and replacing with new asphalt). Project No. 2705.002 The work generally consists of: Mobilization Staging Area Setup Implementation on Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices (BMP) Construction Area Signs per CAMUTCD standards and Special Provisions Temporary Traffic Control per CAMUTCD standards and Special Provisions Clearing and grubbing that includes tree and shrub trimming (as shown on the plans) and removal/clearing of debris and dirt in the existing AC ditch from Station 4+71.14 to the intersection of Ridgecrest Drive and County Club Lane Roadway excavation and grading, backfill, and asphalt pavement Grade beam wall over concrete CIDH piles Drainage facilities Utility coordination will be required. Crane height restriction applies due to existing overhead utilities. Contractor shall review the site constraint for overhead utilities and pole and determine appropriate crane equipment requirements. Auxiliary work shown on the plans and as directed by engineer. All construction activities including any temporary staging shall occur within County right of way unless directed otherwise by the engineer. Final cleanup Project Closeout The contractor shall possess a Class "A" license at the time the contract is awarded (who are licensed by the State of California for the type of work involved). Prevailing Wages: Attention is directed to Section 7-1.02K, "Labor Code," of the Standard Specifications and these Special provisions. The site is located at MPM 0.40 (near 116 Ridgecrest Drive, Napa CA) in the Circle Oaks Homes Subdivision, approximately 12 miles north of the City of Napa in Napa County, California. The construction is anticipated to begin in May of 2019 and to be completed in 45 working days. Award Contract April 16, 2019 Preconstruction and Submittals April 2019 and ongoing Start Construction May 2019 End construction June 2019 Project Closeout July 2019 The project is funded by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and is subject to DBE requirements per Attachment D1 and D2. The DBE goal is 12%. Bid shall be valid for 60 days from bid opening A bid guaranty in the amount of 10% of the total bid shall accompany the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price with good and sufficient surety.
