Site work for a civil project in Morro Bay, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of constructing a .335 MGD average daily flow Water Resource Recovery Facility generally described as follows: Area 01 Civil Construction including: construction of retaining walls, site improvements, precast wet wells, pumps and pump stations; placement of geogrid base and paving; installation of yard piping and drainage features; electrical service, distribution and lighting; seeding and landscaping. Areas 02 & 03 Headworks Construction including: Minor grading; excavation of footings; placement of pipelines; installation of conduits; construction of power and control systems; fiberglass fabrications; concrete construction; purchase and installation of assigned screening and separation equipment; purchase and installation of process equipment; prefabricated electrical building; purchase and installation of odor control system; electrical and mechanical construction. Area 04 Equalization Basin Construction including: Coordination with Grading Contractor for excavation and backfilling of basin and precast wet well; installation of underdrains, piping, precast pump stations and vaults; purchase and installation of pumping and mixing equipment; installation of yard piping; site electrical work; fencing; installation of yard hydrants; liner installation; safety equipment; electrical and mechanical construction. Areas 05, 06 & 07 Membrane Bioreactor, Blower and Equipment Area Construction including: Minor Grading; coordination with Grading Contractor for placement of backfill; placement of pipelines; installation of conduits; integration and construction of control systems; concrete basin and structure construction; fiberglass fabrications; purchase and installation of assigned membrane equipment; purchase and installation of process equipment; prefabricated electrical building; electrical and mechanical construction. Area 09 Chemical Storage Area including: Minor grading; excavation of footings; placement of pipelines; installation of conduits; construction of power and control systems; fiberglass fabrications; concrete foundation construction; purchase and installation of chemical metering equipment and storage tanks; shop drawings and construction of a metal canopy; electrical and mechanical construction. Area 11 Dewatering Building Construction including: Minor grading; excavation of footings; placement of pipelines; installation of conduits; integration and construction of power and control systems; concrete foundation construction; purchase and installation of assigned dewatering equipment; shop drawings and construction of a metal building; purchase and installation of process equipment; purchase and installation of odor control system; electrical and mechanical construction. Area 13 UV and Pumping Station Construction including: coordination with Grading Contractor for excavation and backfilling of the precast wet well; minor grading; excavation of footings; placement of pipelines; installation of conduits; design and construction of power and control systems; concrete foundation construction; purchase and installation of low pressure closed reactor UV equipment, pumps, sampling and process equipment; prefabricated electrical building; shop drawings and construction of a metal canopy; electrical and mechanical construction. Area 15 Recycled Water Storage Tank Construction including: shop drawings and construction of a steel recycled water storage tank, foundation and appurtenances. Area 16 Potable Water Building and Storage Tank Construction including: minor grading; excavation of footings; placement of pipelines; installation of conduits; integration and construction of power and control systems; concrete foundation construction; purchase and installation of treatment equipment, pumps, sampling and process equipment; shop drawings and construction of a metal building; electrical and mechanical construction. Area 17 Operations Building Construction including: minor grading; excavation of footings; integration and construction of power and control systems; concrete foundation construction; purchase and installation of building equipment; shop drawings and construction of a metal building; casework; glazing; flooring; traditional habitable building construction trades. Area 18 Maintenance and Electrical Building Const truction including; electrical switchgear; minor grading; excavation of footings; integration and construction of power and control systems; concrete foundation construction; building appurtenances; shop drawings and construction of a metal building; restroom; electrical construction; traditional habitable building construction trades. Area 19 Stationary Engine Generator Construction including: Purchase and equipping of a stationary engine generator; minor grading; excavation of footings; concrete foundation construction. Area 20 Fire Protection System Construction including: Purchase and installation of fire pump system and appurtenances; installation of fire hydrants, fire department connection, fire sprinkler systems and risers; electrical and mechanical construction; control system integration of fire pumps and alarms. Start up and Acceptance Testing; coordination with Grading and Pipeline Contractors; other construction efforts to make a complete and operational Water Resource Recovery Facility Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis with bid items as indicated on the Bid Form. The Bidding Documents may be examined at: Cayucos Sanitary District Office - 200 Ash Avenue Cayucos, CA 93430 The Bidding Documents are available for viewing online with ASAP Reprographics Registering as a plan holder and downloading the bid documents has a cost of $25 dollars. Printed materials are available from ASAP at the cost of printing. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are notified that financing for this project is provided pursuant to the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. Section 1921 et seq.) and that as allowed in Public Contract Code Section 22300, this contract does not provide for substitution of securities for any monies withheld by the Owner to ensure performance under this contract. Bidders are further notified that this contract does not permit retainage to be placed in escrow nor to be invested for the benefit of the contractor. Prospective Bidders shall be licensed Contractors in the State of California and shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of work called for under the Contract. Each Bidder shall have a Class A California Contractor's license. American Iron and Steel Requirements apply to this project as described in Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron and steel: line or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The de minimis and minor components waiver applies to this contract.
