As of July 17 , 2020 project has been awarded to Webber for the amount of $12,610,133.00 The project consists of constructing a 2 lane overpass approximately 1,500 linear feet in length at the intersection of Bailey Boswell Road and Business US 287. The two lane overpass spans Business 287 and two railroad rights-of-way - UPRR and BNSF. The project includes: overpass approaches with MSE retaining walls and internal drainage. The project also includes median, pavement markings and signage, traffic rails, bridge deck and street lighting, traffic control, and turn lane and driveway reconstruction. There will also be TxDOT and railroad coordination for the Business US 287 crossing, and two railroads. The railroad crossings include (2) BNSF Railway and one (1) UP Railroad. The agreements with the railroad companies and TxDOT are still pending. The plans are currently under review and agreements are being prepared. The Notice to Proceed will be issued upon final receipt of required project permitting. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued within six months of notice of award of contract. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, the Owner reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject any or all bids. No bid may be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days after date on which bids are opened.
