The work necessary for the completion of this contract consists of mobilization anddemobilization; distribution of construction notices to existing businesses and residents;best management practices (BMP); traffic control and detour plan implementation;construction staking, survey monument restoration, and survey monument adjustments;utility company coordination and utility verification; removal of existing roadway,sidewalk, curb and gutter, access ramps, concrete pavement bus pad, and driveways;cold milling of existing asphalt pavement roadway; subgrade preparation; constructionof asphalt concrete (AC) pavement, asphalt rubberized hot-mix (ARHM) pavement, fiberreinforced ARHM pavement, local pavement section repairs, PCC sidewalks, PCC curband gutter, PCC access ramps, truncated domes, PCC driveways, PCC median curbs,and PCC pavement for bus pad; utility relocations and adjustments; traffic signal andtraffic signage improvements; pavement striping and marking improvements; as-builtplan preparation; and all other work required by the contract documents. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
