Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The tabulation of Bids will be considered by the City Commission of the City of Alamogordo at its next regular meeting, or at a later meeting if required. Estimated cost for this project is $200,000.00 The Work will consist of installing 18-inch C-900 PVC (approximately 690 linear feet) waterline from the south side of McKinley Channel along Canyon Road (parking lot) crossing Washington Avenue, Washington Park, 1st Street, and finally connecting to an existing 18-inch waterline located within the Cemetery. The installation will cross existing utilities (gas, electric lines, fiber optic lines, potable water, reuse water, and sanitary sewer); the existing crossing reuse and potable waterlines will be lowered concurrently with the 18-inch line installation. The sanitary sewer line(s) are expected to be at sufficient depth to avoid potential vertical conflicts. Installation across paved streets and parking lots will require pavement removal and patching, sidewalk removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, and concrete median removal and replacement, within the city limits of Alamogordo, New Mexico. Construction Industries Division (CID) Project Classification Determination is GF-1 or GF-98 for water line work and GA-1 or GA-98 for pavement-related work. In accordance with the provisions of the New Mexico Construction Industries Licensing Act, all project work must be performed by properly licensed contractors and subcontractors with active licenses in good standing as of the date and time specified for Bid Opening. The City has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid license classification as specified above or other appropriate license classification under the Construction Industries Licensing Act at the time the contract is Bid. Any work outside the scope of the Prime Contractor's classification(s) must be subcontracted. Any work subcontracted by a Prime Contractor must be performed by an entity that is validly licensed in the classification(s) of the work that is to be subcontracted as of the date and time specified for Bid Opening. Bids that do not satisfy applicable licensing requirements will be considered non-responsive. The CD will be provided at no charge. If the CD is to be mailed, the requestor shall supply the Purchasing Department with a pre-paid mailing account and the appropriate information required for delivery. Prospective BIDDERS are advised of a 10% Bid Evaluation Criterion for area businesses that will apply to this Project. The CONTRACTOR is advised to obtain specific information as to the qualifications and conditions of the Bid Evaluation Criterion before submitting a Bid. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total Bid amount. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the Bid amount to assure performance of the Contract, and payment for all labor and materials of the Contract. No Bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, and the City of Alamogordo reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and waive all technicalities and formalities. No BIDDER may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the Bid Opening thereof. Attention of BIDDERS is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
