1631-OJC-19-CDC-0032 The work involves services for the design and construction of wetlands storm damage restoration and the repair of the wood deck. This area was damaged on September 11, 2017 by Hurricane Irma. The 2.24 acre wetlands that drains into Pond 2 at the Jacksonville Job Corps Center has suffered from a torrential storm and erosion through the wetland area under and around the existing 100 foot diameter wood deck rendering the deck hazardous for use. The 2-foot diameter pilings supporting the deck (97 ea.) have suffered some erosion. Some have lost all support and some have been swamped by the eroded soil. This 8,000 square foot area, including the wooden deck, must be returned to its "Pre-Storm" condition. The Contractor shall restore the wetlands and reinstall the supporting footer piles for the deck, restoring the deck to its original condition as indicated on the original construction drawings.at the Jacksonville Job Corps Center. The extent of work is described in the Scope of Work (SOW).
