The Port of Portland (Port) is seeking providers capable of providing The Port’s fire detection and alarm system located throughout the Portland International Airport (PDX) campus comprised of 48 Apogee Life Safety (ALS3)/Edwards Systems Technology (EST3), Systems Definition Utility (SDU) Version 5.2, fire alarm control panels (FACPs) connected to five FireWorks workstations. PDX communications center staff is responsible for monitoring and dispatching PDX Fire Department personnel in response to system alarms. More than 13,000 devices are installed in the system, all of which require inspection, testing, and programming.
