Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Haymarket, Virginia. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The Scope of work will consists of the renovation of existing estimated 68,226 square foot school and the (2) two additions totaling 5,189 square foot. The additions will be masonry construction with the roofing system as indicated on the drawings. Interior finishes, casework, systems, utilities and miscellaneous site work are also included. Equipment, furniture and furnishings indicated shall be provided by the Contractor unless noted otherwise. Responsibility for maintenance of existing erosion control devices, if provided under a separate contract, is included. All Bidders shall obtain at least one full complete set of bidding documents from the architect 10 days prior to the bid opening. Failure to do so will result in not being eligible to submit a bid on the project. Bidders are responsible for checking this portal prior to bid submission. Failure to acknowledge all addenda shall result in declaration of your bid as non-responsive. In addition, addenda will be electronically delivered to all who are known by the issuing office to have received a complete set of Bidding Documents. Bidding Prime Contractors shall be responsible for distributing addenda information to subcontractors and material suppliers. Extra costs will not be allowed for failure of Prime Contractors to properly distribute addenda or any bidding information. This site is located at 5600 McLeod Way, Haymarket, Virginia 20169. Request and deposit must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the bid opening date. Failure to do so will result in the Bidder not being able to submit a bid response. Documents will not be distributed until deposit is received. No partial sets will be issued. By submitting its deposit, Bidder agrees to provide copies of the Contract Documents only to those employees and potential subcontractors bidding on the Project and agrees that if it posts the drawings on any portal, it shall be a secured portal accessible only to those employees and subcontractors with a need to access the documents for bidding purposes. Contractor shall be liable for all costs and expenses incurred by PWCS to re-design the Project arising from such publication (e.g. to maintain school security). Upon return of the printed Bid Documents (including Addenda, if any), and the electronic media on which the electronic copy was provided, prepaid, in good condition, free from markings thereon, within fourteen (14) days after the receipt of bids, refund of deposit will be made as follows: 1) to general contractors who submit a bid, their deposit for the first three (3) sets, and one-half their deposit for all additional sets; 2) to others, their deposit for the first set, and one-half their deposit for all additional sets. No refund will be made for sets that have been marked on, or which are incomplete, disassembled or otherwise unusable for construction. If the Bidder accessed the Bidding Documents solely through a secure portal, then its deposit shall be returned after its access to the portal has been terminated. Plans and specifications will be available for viewing between the hours of 8:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m. during the bidding period at the following location. Potential bidders are required to call ahead of time to make an appointment during these hours.
