Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be in the full amount of the bid. The bond must be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Bid security furnished in the form of a certified check or cashier's check, shall be equal to 10% of the bid. Checks should be made payable to the Board of Clark County Commissioners. Failure to submit a proper Bid Guaranty will automatically invalidate the bid! Bidders must submit the following: ODOT LPA Template Certification, Affidavit of Compliance with ORC 3517.13, EEO Certification Form, Non Collusion Bid Affidavit, Sub-Contractors List, Insurance and Indemnification Requirements and Contractors Safety Requirements. The successful bidder must also submit a performance bond and meet the Countys insurance requirements (requirements are included in the bid package). Bidders must comply with State of Ohio Prevailing Wage rates on state funded projects. Further details regarding these requirements are provided in the bid specifications. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defect in a bid, which does not materially alter the bid document. Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Ohio Department of Transportation and possess a current Certificate of Qualification for the following work classifications (Work Types 1, 4, 8, 9, 19, 21, 23, 39 & 53) being bid, even if these items will be sublet. Prime or sub-contractors shall be pre-qualified for all other applicable work classification types being performed and/or sublet including (Work Types 1, 4, 8, 9, 10, 19, 21, 23, 35, 36, 39, 42, 45, 53 & 57), but not limited to the work types listed herein. Work types are as listed in ODOTs Work Type Definitions. Conditional bids will not be accepted. The bidder (prime contractor) shall perform work amounting to not less than fifty (50%) percent of the Contract Price with its own organization.
