As of May 18, 2021 contract amount is $194,400.00. The start date is 5-12-21. The awarded contractor is Diversified Contractors – Fargo ND. Remodeling of existing office space to include selective demolition of walls, ceiling, floor covering, precast concrete, doors, aluminum framed windows, ductwork, plumbing and electrical systems. New work includes metal stud sheetrock partitions, doors, frames, painting, acoustic ceilings, minor amounts of floor coverings, vinyl base, HVAC, plumbing, fire sprinkler, electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems. A tour of the project site will commence after the pre-bid meeting as scheduled below. Single combined Bids will be received from qualified Bidders for all portions of the work. The successful Bidder will be the single Prime Contractor for the Project. Bid Security in the amount of five (5%) percent of the Bid including all add alternates, must accompany each Bid in accord with 00 1000 - Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must have a pdf document which contains an acceptable bidder's bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute a contract in accordance with the term of the bid and a contractor's bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the Grand Forks Growth Fund, A Job Development Authority (JDA). Each bid shall also contain a pdf document of the license or certificate of renewal thereof issued by the secretary of state which will be uploaded. Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and license. The JDA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable to the interest of the City of Grand Forks. Time is of the essence. The work, if awarded, shall be substantially complete within 90 calendar days with final completion 10 calendar days thereafter. NORTH DAKOTA LAW. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as provided by North Dakota Century Code Section 43 07-05; and no bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and licenses, and any bid deficient in these respects submitted will be re sealed and returned to the bidder immediately.
