Site work and paving for a road / highway in Petersburg, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Teams selected to continue in the process will submit Technical Proposals on August 2, 2019, for scoring by a team of KYTC representatives. Lastly, teams will submit Price Proposals on August 16, 2019, and a design-build team will be selected based upon a combination of the technical and price proposals. The new interchange at Graves Road will serve as a "relief valve" for the existing KY 237 interchange (Exit 8), diverting approximately 25,000 vehicles per day from the KY 237 interchange area and improving operational and safety characteristics at that location. Existing Graves Road will be widened to accommodate the diverted traffic and will serve as a much-needed alternative access to industrial areas and direct access to residential areas along the route. In addition to the information provided at electronically, KYTC will provide additional preliminary design information to each team at the mandatory pre-proposal meeting on March 14, 2019. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will be seeking teams of Contractors and Consultants for an upcoming Design Build project to construct a new interchange on Interstate 275 in Boone County. Additional information on this project is expected to be released in early March 2019.
