The Community Unit School District 220 Board of Education is accepting bids for building entrance renovations and improvements of the Barrington High School located at 616 W. Main Street in Barrington, Illinois. The Scope of Work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary for select interior partition, new aluminum storefront doors, frames, and hardware, electrical, security and low-voltage system improvements, interior finish replacement, and miscellaneous renovations and improvements at the Barrington High School, as indicated in the Bid Documents. A single contract will be awarded to a General Contractor for the entire project scope. Refer to the Contract Documents for additional information related to the Scope of Work associated with this Contract. The work is to be performed at the Barrington High School located at 616 W. Main Street, in Barrington, Illinois. Construction work is scheduled to take place between June 2019 and August 2019. Each bid submission must include a Bid Form, Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid and a fully executed Contractor Qualification Statement (AIA Form A305). The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The Community Unit School District 220 Board of Education is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other bid and reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in bidding procedure and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, as determined by the District. In evaluating bids, the Owner shall consider the qualifications of the Bidders, conformity with the Bid Documents, terms of delivery, quality and serviceability, or any other factors when considering the award of the bid. The District may conduct such investigations as deemed necessary to assist in the evaluation of any bid and to establish the responsibility, qualifications and financial ability of the bidders to furnish the goods and special services in accordance with the Contract Documents to the District's satisfaction within the prescribed time. The Community Unit School District 220 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject non-conforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that in it's sole opinion best serves the interests of the School District.
