The scope of work is two-fold: 1. Inspection the critical air flow control systems for: a. Biological Research Support Facility (BRSF) - One (1) fume hood and associated Phoenix controls including any Phoenix controls associated with Biosafety cabinets in 124 and 125 BRSF. Biosafety Cabinet certification is not required or included in this scope of work. b. Engineering Center (EC) - Six (6) fume hoods and associated Phoenix controls to biosafety cabinets. c. Math and Science Center Building's (MSC) - Fifty two (52) fume hoods and associated Phoenix controls. 2. Certification of variable air volume fume hoods located in BRSF, EC & MSE research and student labs. Specifications include the airflow verification of the Phoenix Controls airflow control system. The vendor must: 1. Verify proper operation of all components and perform minor adjustments, if necessary. 2. Provide Fume Hood Certification based on face velocity and smoke capture for the fifty-nine (59) fume hoods. 3. Label fume hoods with certification date, sash operation, low airflow monitor, and containment test evaluations. 4. Perform airflow verifications of all laboratory systems. 5. Verify building energy efficiency systems are functioning as intended. Questions regarding this RFP must be submitted via email to kevinwalter@oakland.edu no later than 12:00 p.m. on 3/15/2019. The email must clearly reference "RFP Fume Hood and Lab Critical Air Controls" in the subject field. Proposals will be evaluated and awarded based upon the criteria noted in the RFP. All information must be legible, in order, and easily interpreted. Pricing, the ability to meet the University's needs, and the efficiency of the vendor's ordering process should be clear and concise. At Oakland University's sole discretion, incomplete packages may be rejected. Proposals will be evaluated on pricing, responses to the requirements of the RFP, the responses of Supplier references, and to Oakland University's estimation of how well the Supplier will be able to address the requirements as outlined in this RFP. If there are portions of any proposal the University finds unacceptable or otherwise in need of clarification or revision, the University reserves the right to negotiate with any and all vendors.
