As of April 29, 2019 the project has been awarded for $355,791.95. The Work under this contract includes replacing the existing clean water system on 45th Avenue NE from Ward Drive NE to the southern intersection of 45th Avenue NE and Satter Street NE; including the installation of fire hydrants; and installation of new 12-inch, 6-inch, and 4-inch ductile iron waterlines. The existing waterlines will be abandoned. The Project shall also require any associated asphalt concrete pavement, Portland Cement sidewalk, curb and driveway, aggregate shoulder, and existing surface to be restored. No pre-Bid Conference is schedule for this project. Bid security in the amount of 10 percent of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City of Salem ("City") reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to postpone the award of the contract for thirty (30) days.
