Without intending to limit or restrict the volume of Work required, the project includes but is not limited to the following: The project involves the installation of approximately 1,725 L.F. of 12" DICL pipe, 2,000 L.F. of 16" HDPE pipe, 5 fire hydrants, 1 air release valve, 15-12" gate valves, 1-10" gate valve, replace, relocate and install new services, approximately 170 L.F. of directional drilled 16" HDPE for a stream crossing, approximately 110 L.F. feet of auger boring w/20" steel casing & 12" DICL carrier pipe under a PennDOT interstate ramp, three PennDOT road crossings by open cut, PennDOT involvement along and in Route 715 including pipe installation, temporary and permanent paving, maintenance and protection of traffic and associated work. The apparent low bidder will be required to submit one (1) original of all the Bid Documents to the Engineer within 3 business days of request as part of the award process. No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a certified check, money order or Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid. The Bid Security shall be made payable to Brodhead Creek Regional Authority. All Bid Bonds must be accompanied by a Power of Attorney or suitable letter of commitment from a licensed surety company as described in the Instructions to Bidders and Specifications. The Bidder and its selected Subcontractors shall include the fully-completed Non-Collusion Affidavit along with the other forms required by the Specifications with the Bid. Restrictions relative to submission, change or withdrawal of bids are established in the Specifications and follow Pennsylvania Public Contract Law. The project is financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority and sponsored by the Monroe County Industrial Development Authority. Attention is called to the fact that payment of Pennsylvania Prevailing Minimum Wages will be required on this project and the required wages have been included in the documents.
