The estimated budget for the services described in this RFP is $110,000 The State Preservation Board (SPB) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors with sufficient experience and expertise to provide construction services for the Bullock Texas State History Museum third floor exhibit space expansion project, located in Austin, TX. Work includes demolition of an existing wall and floor treatments, new wall construction, installation of a new suspended ceiling, extension of mechanical and electrical service into the new space, fire sprinkler and alarm system adjustment, wall patching and painting, and carpet installation. The work will create a shell space for installation of new exhibits by others. All questions must be submitted in writing via email to SPB.BIDS@tspb.texas.gov by 5PM CT, March 29, 2019 A performance bond is required if the Contract amount is in excess of $100,000.00. The performance bond is solely for the protection of SPB. The performance bond is to be for the sum of the Contract to guarantee the faithful performance of the work in accordance with the Contract. The performance bond shall be effective through Contractor's warranty period. When submitting a proposal for services as requested by the SPB, Contractor shall provide documentation for the cost of the performance bond. A payment bond is required if the Contract amount is in excess of $25,000.00. The payment bond is to be for the sum of the Contract and is payable to SPB solely for the protection and use of payment bond beneficiaries who have a direct contractual relationship with Contractor or a subcontractor. When submitting a proposal for services as requested by the SPB, Contractor shall provide documentation for the cost of the payment bond.
